1. The VIA service
VIA is a travel and ride-planning application that can help organise trips, routes, weather information, bookings, costs, checklists, documents, vehicles, ride records, Shared Trips, Live Group features and supported cloud synchronisation.
2. Accounts and access
Some VIA features require a My VIA account or Google sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining access to the accounts and devices you use with VIA and for keeping any share codes, access links or credentials private where appropriate.
3. Your content
You retain responsibility for the trips, notes, files, contacts, bookings, images and other content you add to VIA. You must have the right to upload, store or share that content. Do not use VIA to store or distribute unlawful, harmful or infringing material.
4. Routes, weather and travel information
Routes, maps, weather, opening conditions, road status, travel times and other travel information can change quickly. VIA is a planning aid and should not be treated as the sole source of safety-critical navigation or travel information. Always follow road signs, local laws, official closures, weather warnings and conditions encountered in the real world.
5. Ride recording and Live Group
GPS and live-location features depend on device sensors, permissions, network availability and third-party platform behaviour. Recorded or shared positions may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate. Live Group is a convenience feature and is not an emergency-location or rescue service.
6. AI-assisted features
When you deliberately use AI-assisted document or booking extraction, VIA may process the content through a third-party AI provider. Extracted information can contain mistakes. You are responsible for checking booking dates, prices, addresses, references and other important details against the original source.
7. Third-party services
VIA relies on third-party services for some functionality, including mapping, routes, weather, cloud infrastructure, image search, authentication and AI-assisted extraction. Their availability, terms and data processing practices may affect those features.
8. Acceptable use
You must not attempt to interfere with VIA's systems, bypass access controls, abuse Shared Trips or Live Group functionality, access another person's private data without permission, or use VIA in a way that violates applicable law.
9. Availability and changes
VIA is under active development. Features may be improved, changed, limited or discontinued as the product evolves. Reasonable efforts are made to preserve user data and compatibility, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.
10. Disclaimers
VIA is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, no guarantee is made that routes, forecasts, synchronisation, imported information or third-party content will always be complete, accurate or available.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, VIA and its developer are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from reliance on route information, travel conditions, third-party services, device failure, connectivity problems or user-entered content. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as VIA develops. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date on this page.
